If your life was a movie, what would the soundtrack be?

Friday, September 19, 2008 at 3:13 PM

I snagged this from Mr E...

IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?

So, here's how it works:

1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend your cool by switching any of the songs - a lot of the songs fit with the setting

Mona's Dare - Your Water Tower

Sunday, September 14, 2008 at 5:05 AM
Some of the municipalities around Toronto have water towers but I live near Lake Ontario and I think we get our water from the there  because I see water purification plants but no water towers.

Mona says if we don't have a water tower we can show a different kind of tower so I am showing you the CN Tower in downtown Toronto.  This view is from Queen's Quay (pronounced 'key') at the lake.  The tower, at 553.33m (1,815 ft., 5 inches) high, used to be the highest free standing structure in the world but has been surpassed by a building in Dubai.  Shucks! What do we do now...build another bigger taller  one?

Yes, I have been to the top of the CN Tower, it was awful because, like Mona, I am afraid of heights.  I stayed back near the wall while my visiting cousin walked to the rails (more like a cage) to snap photos.  There was a glass floor that I did not go out on either.  And I closed my eyes in the glass elevator up the side of the building.   That was a few years ago and I haven't had to back up there since.

To join the fun, visit Mona's Dare.

Picture Perfect - Perspective

I call this photo  "Gaining A New Perspective"

IMG_0274
Sitting on a cot in her cell, considering her former ways, remembering her crimes, regretting her present circumstances, gaining a new perspective on life, the small narrow cell, functioning as a reality tunnel.  "I will never speed again, Officer."

Taken with my Canon Powershot SD450 camera by a kind jailer at the Old Stone Jail in Beaverton Ontario.  Yes dear friends, that is me in the photo.

If you want to join the fun this week , at your own page, post one photo with the theme "Perspective" and leave the link to your post in the comments at Picture Perfect.

Thanks for visiting my entry!

My dinner tonight

Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 6:39 PM
was 3 large stalks of celery with roasted red pepper cream cheese and a creme brulée without the brulée.  I have been eating a lot of that the past few days.  Whenever I was sick as a young girl my mother would make me custard so it is comfort food now. . . hers was bubbly and a bit lumpy but I liked it because it was dessert and it was such a treat to have dessert for a whole meal.  Mom's was bubbly and lumpy but I liked it.  This one was smooth and creamy, I like it better.  All I needed was the brulée but I am afraid of the torch.

Picture Perfect - Wet

Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 7:35 AM

It is raining this morning in Toronto and my deck is slippery wet, the wood is swollen and scenting the air. I like this kind of morning.

My entry is a bit late, hoping I can sneak it in! If you would like to join in go here.
