Thank You Note

Hi Connie,
Just a short note to thank you for having us in your home to meet Biscuit today. It certainly was a happy doggie atmosphere! What a delightful and very joyful welcome the whole gang gave us! They are all so healthy looking and happy. I smelled like a dog all the way home and loved it...kept sniffing my hands! I admire the work you are doing and can well see it is a labour of love. Your happy home is probably the first place these dear dogs have found the real love they deserve.
Biscuit is a dear dog, so gentle and sweet and just the right size and temperament for my little home and community. I have found a crate for him and a wicker bed. I will look for a Global and Ryans? Is it Ryans? I wasn't feeling well near the end of the visit so am not sure. I can promise you that I will take very good care of him, give him lots of love and attention and many walks. Quite a few of my neighbours walk their dogs in this community and I will be happy to join them with Biscuit. I live near the beach in Pickering and I am sure he will enjoy walking with me there also.
I am a little concerned about the house training, bought a book on my way home and am looking for feedback from some people who have more experience with this problem than I do. I wonder if, when he gets used to life in a small quiet home, he will be easier to train. We will work hard on this and I think we will succeed. I was speaking to a friend this evening who reminded me that the crate has to be small enough while they are being housetrained...just enough room to stand up, turn around and lie down. If it is too large, they will do it in one end of the crate. I am willing to give this a try if it will help him.
Thanks again...take care,
Heather
