I know this is not a "peace dove," white with an olive branch in his mouth, nevertheless any dove makes me think of peace. This Morning Dove lives in one of the fir trees outside my home; he and his companion are frequent visitors to my little yard. The two of them are so calm and gentle, unafraid or maybe unaware of possible danger. I love the soft soothing noises they make. Live and let live seems to be their philosophy, they never even stir if I come out to the yard while they are visiting. This one just sat on the fence, undisturbed as I came out to take his picture.
